WeWorld-GVC, recently constituted from the merger of two NGOs, is an Italian secular and independent organization working since 1971 in international cooperation and humanitarian aid. Present in 25 countries with 128 projects, WeWorld-GVC operates in the following areas of assistance: human rights (gender equality, prevention and combating violence against children and women, migration), humanitarian aid (prevention, emergency relief and rehabilitation), food security, access to water, health and hygiene, education, global citizenship education, quality teaching and international volunteering. WeWorld-GVC works mostly with girls, boys, women and youth, actors of change in every community for a fairer and more inclusive world. Supports people overcoming emergencies and guarantees a life with dignity, opportunities and a better future through human and economic development programs, in the framework of the 2030 Agenda. At present, the main donors are Italy (AICS), the EU (DG ECHO), UNICEF, OCHA, and Belgium (DGD).
Roles: WeWorld-GVC is selecting the following profiles with different experiences in humanitarian contexts to be included in its operations in Moldova and Ukraine to respond to Ukraine war:
Duty Stations: Lviv and Chișinău, depending on the profile and the evolving of situation.
Type and length of contract: to be defined according to the experience of candidates.

Working context
The outbreak of the war in Ukraine puts seven and a half million boys and girls at risk: WeWorld-GVC took action immediately to provide aid to boys, girls and their families to cope with the emergency.
Our team of professionals in Lviv and Chișinău are coordinating the operations in agreement with embassies, NGOs and local operators.

Main functions and duties
The Operations Manager ensures safe and efficient implementation of the overall operations. Is responsible for the effective and successful management of resources (material human, financial), quality control and safety measures. Manages International and National Staff and budget.
The Programmes Manager monitors and supervises planning of activities, ensuring effective delivery in line with all donors’ regulations, legislation and professional standards; supports and maintains strategic alliances and partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders.
The Protection Expert is responsible for the protection activities implementation and technical support to build protection programs in the area.
The Technical Expert in Cash Transfer guides the overall design and setting-up of systems for the implementation and direct management of the cash transfer.
The Logistician is responsible for the proper coordination of mission logistics, guarantees compliance with logistical rules and procedures and provides the best possible support to projects/programmes. The Logistician will have the main roles of define, implement and coordinate the logistics strategy and activities in the mission.
